SDO P’que commends winners in national tilts

The Schools Division of Paranaque City extended its recognition to the schools whose student representatives bagged awards in the national level competitions, and encouraged other schools to adapt the best practices employed to produce more winners.
“With the right training, winning attitude, and full support of the school principal, supervisors, parents, and stakeholders, it is no wonder that these students shine in the competitions,” remarked Dr. Maria Magdalena M. Lim, schools division superintendent.
It can be recalled that a Junior High School student of Paranaque National High School (PNHS) – Main reaped special awards during the National Festival of Talents (NFOT) in Dipolog City on Jan. 23-26, 2017.
Gian Brendan Pamulan, Grade X, was awarded with two gold medals being the champion of the quizwhiz and cosplay presentation in the NFOT under the Special Program in Foreign Language (German) category.
In the cosplay, Pamulan impressed the judges with his German Literature legendary character – inspired concept. He studied Basic Deutch, German Language, with Marites Lacson, his teacher and coach.
On the other hand, Fourth Estate Elementary School (FEES) representative to the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) held on Jan. 22-26, at Zamboanga del Sur National High School, Zamboanga Peninsula, Pagadian City, ranked 5th place for Pagsulat ng Balitang Pampalakasan.
Grade VI pupil Laurence Gabriel D. Pangue received a certificate of recognition and a medal having bested the other 58 contenders in the individual writing category. His trainer was Ana L. Quilang.
The said students likewise emerged as the winners during the regional level making them qualify for the national level competitions.
