In view of the number of days left to commence School Year 2020-2021 on August 24, all schoolheads of the Schools Division of Parañaque presented the readiness assessment of their schools to Schools Division Superintendent Evangeline P. Ladines and OIC – Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Violeta M. Gonzales via Google Meet, August 6-8.
The engagement served to let the Schools Division know how equipped are the schools in terms of the reproduction of modules, training of teachers mainly on the use of the different learning management systems or online learning platforms, parents’ orientation and training and simulation which prepares the teachers on the proper use of modules and devised techniques to effectively deliver to the learners in the distance learning, and observance of the health and safety protocols as prescribed by AITF and DOH.
After each presentation (limited to five minutes minimum and seven minutes maximum), Superintendent Ladines and OIC Assistant Superintendent Gonzales took turns in articulating the clarifying questions and additional inputs to help address the gaps and lapses that emerged.
Nonetheless, the division overseers commended the schoolheads for presenting the authentic data and information and encouraged them to be open-minded in accepting suggestions and ideas which help improve the conveyance of the Basic Education – Learning Continuity Plan in the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic.
In carrying out their tasks, the schoolheads were reminded to observe the following: work collaboratively with fellow schoolheads to hasten their accountabilities, fortify their connection with the stakeholders particularly with the barangay for further support and assistance, strictly implement the Pre School Opening Activities (PSOA) as planned, orient the parents on the possibility of going online so they need to be acquainted with the division’s learning portal to access the digitized modules once the Internet connectivity is effected, and enhance the teachers’ proficiency on the delivery of the e-learning, school monitoring system, learning support and feedback mechanism.
