DepEd Parañaque awards 2022 SAGiP, SAFE CI winners
Schools Division of Parañaque added another milestone through a dual festivity of the achievements of all schools in the 2022 SaGiP and SAFE-CI Awarding Ceremonies held on September 21 at the elegance of Excelsior Hotel, Las Pinas City.
“There’s a time for everything,” Schools Division Superintendent Evangeline P. Ladines opined, referring to the SAGiP and SAFE CI, conceptualized (planted) in January, launched in March, and until the day of harvest to recompense the hard work of the schoolheads and the school focal persons in the said division-initiated endeavors.
SAGiP or Save LARS Give Hope and Paint a Better Tomorrow is intended to address the learners who are at risk of failing in a subject or two in the academic year, in which the schools designed an innovative intervention measure to save the learners before the end of the last two quarters.
Meanwhile, SAFE-CI or Superintendent’s Award for Excellence in Curriculum and Instruction, adapted from the SAFE-CI of the DepED Secretary’s Award as stipulated in DepED Order No. 6, s. 2021, and is anchored on PRAISE and APAT, aims to encourage the creativity and productivity of the schools in public service by showcasing the best learning-focused and innovative practices and effective implementation of the School-Based Management.
To add more significance categories were established for this year’s awards. The best SAGiP intervention winning schools with their respective principals were: Small School Category – Merville Elementary School with Flora Baggayan, Best SAGip Implementer; Sto. Nino High School with Jaime O. Sarmiento, second; Paranaque Science High School with Ruel A. Grafil, third. Medium School Category – Baclaran Elementary School with Agnes A. Pelovello, Best SAGip Implementer, Baclaran National High School with Erzenia P. De Guzman, second; Masville Elementary School with Analyn A. Tiglao, third. Large School Category – PNHS Main with Gerry A. Lumaban, Best SAGip Implementer; San Antonio National High School with Lilibeth D. Santamaria, second; PNHS Baclaran with Gerry C. Catchillar, third.
On the other hand, the SAFE-CI winners were as follows: Kindergarten Category – Masville Elementary School with Analyn A. Tiglao on Project AIMS (Academic Interdisciplinary Measures for Success); Key Stage 1 Category – La Huerta Elementary School with Genie-Ann T. Santos on Project GREAT (Gearing Enhancement for Access to Tomorrow); Key Stage 2 Category – La Huerta Elementary School with Genie-Ann T. Santos on Project LHES RISE ( La Huerta ES – Responsive Intervention for Success in Education); Key Stage 3 Category – Junior High School went to PNHS-Main with Gerry A. Lumaban on Project SALBABIDA (Batang Naisalba, Naging Bida); Key Stage 4 – Senior High School to PNHS-Main with Gerry A. Lumaban on Project STEP-HY ( Science, Technology and Engineering Project- Hybrid Learning); ALS-CLC Category – Barangay Marcelo Green Learning Center’s Project SPACE (ALS Stakeholders Partnership Advocacy and Community Engagement) with Mr. Nilo Michael L. Embuestro, ALS teacher.
This year’s winning schools with the schoolheads, district supervisors, SAFE-CI and SAGiP school focal persons received plaques of appreciation cash prizes, and certificates of recognition. Superintendent Ladines conferred the awards together with Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Violeta M. Gonzales, CID Chief Bernardo N. Mascarina, SGOD Chief Thelma F. Montiel, representative of the City Mayor, Mr. Mark Besa, chief of the CENRO, Division SAFE-CI focal person Corazon A. Javier and SaGiP focal person Rosie O. Rumbaoa.
