SDO undergoes 2023 GAD

Ninety-four (94) non-teaching personnel (NTP) gathered at the PITX as early as 4:00 A.M. and were on board in two Solid North buses an hour before departure at 6:30 A.M. and arrived at Teachers’ Camp, Baguio City, at noon of May 3, 2023. Upon arrival, everybody took the lunch meal. Afterward, all participants billeted and formally registered for the GAD Seminar.

In the afternoon, the opening program began at the Quezon Hall. Attendance was checked. Parts of the program included Opening Remarks by Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Violeta Gonzales; Rationale/Objectives by Education Program Supervisor for SGOD Dr. Rosie O. Rumbaoa, Secretariat Head of Division GAD Focal Point System; Updates – SDO GAD Focal Person by Engr. Leonora J. Nofuente, Public Schools District Supervisor, who likewise gave the synthesis and reminders. After which, the dinner closed the Day 1.

On the second day of May 4, 2023, as early as 6 A.M. up to 8 A.M., the day began with MOL and Gender Wellness Activities by Mr. Emerson Sabadlab, EPSA II for ALS. The first session tackled GAD Concepts and Gender Mainstreaming in the Workplace by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Nerissa L. Losaria. The second session had the topic, Supporting LGBTQIA+ Personnel in the Workplace, facilitated by Dr. Edwin S. Doria, EPS in Filipino. The last session was about Women’s and Men’s Health and Well-Being by  Dentist II, Dr. Allan Julius N. Baggayan.
